What we do
Wildlife Trusts Wales represents the five Wildlife Trusts in Wales working together in partnership to protect wildlife. The Wildlife Trusts in Wales collectively speak on behalf of more than 24,000 members and manage over 200 nature reserves, covering more than 8,000 hectares of prime wildlife habitat, from rugged coastline to urban wildlife havens.

Our Objectives
Wildlife Trusts Wales is working hard to protect nature in Wales for the future. We have three core objectives: demonstrate how nature works, inspire people and communities to take action for nature and to champion nature and our work through advocacy.
Protect the Montgomery Canal
A thriving ecosystem packed with rare plants and scarce species; a year-round refuge for otters to feed and play; and, in summer, a bustling insect highway, alive with bees, butterflies, dragonflies and damselflies, the Montgomery Canal is one of the best canals for nature in the UK; But The Monty is under threat.
Advocacy
We work tirelessly to give nature a voice. We are facing a climate and ecological crisis, we must act now to secure a future for the wildlife of Wales and beyond. We work with Welsh Government as well as other partners to make sure that we are working towards nature's recovery in Wales.
